Most of my work starts with one question: Why didn’t that deal close?

I’ve been on both sides of it.

I’ve run residential and commercial work.

Sat in kitchens, walked job sites, chased estimates, negotiated contracts, and watched deals fall apart that should have closed.

Not because of price.

Not because of competition.

Because something broke in the conversation.

That’s the work I do now.

The pattern most teams don’t see

Across contractors, sales teams, and leadership groups, the same thing happens:

• Capable people hesitate at the wrong moment

• Value doesn’t fully land with the customer

• Small doubts go unaddressed

• Decisions stall or disappear

From the outside, it looks like:

• “They went with someone else”

• “We got ghosted”

• “We thought we had it”

• “We must have lost on price”

Underneath it:

Something in the conversation broke.

It’s not about effort.

It’s not about intent.

It’s about execution and influence.

What I actually do

I help teams identify where deals are breaking, and correct it.

Not with scripts.

Not with generic training.

But by looking directly at:

• real deals

• real conversations

• real moments where outcomes shift

Everything is grounded in one model:

I = R x V - D

Influence = Relationship × Value − Doubt

If a deal didn’t close:

• Relationship wasn’t strong enough

• Value wasn’t fully seen

• Doubt wasn’t removed

Most teams don’t see where that happens.

I make it visible, and actionable.

What makes this different

Most sales and leadership work focuses on:

👉 what people should do

This work focuses on:

👉 what actually happens when the deal is on the line

Because here’s the reality

Price is always part of the conversation.

But price only matters when nothing else matters.

Deals are lost when:

• relationships aren’t prioritized

• value collapses faster than it’s reinforced

• doubt enters and isn’t resolved

• execution drops in real time

Once that’s visible, everything changes.

It’s our conversations that shape our results.

Improve the conversation, and results follow.

What this work impacts

Teams use this to:

• Win more of the deals they’re already getting

• Shorten sales cycles

• Reduce “we went with someone else” outcomes

• Improve consistency across reps

• Protect value in high-stakes conversations

My background

• Residential and commercial contractors

• Manufacturing, dealer, and distributor networks

• Direct sales and estimating

• AEC leadership and execution advisory

Across companies ranging from $3M to $70M+.

What matters most is not where I’ve worked.

It’s how I see:

• Where pressure enters

• Where execution breaks

• Where value regresses

• Where deals are quietly lost

If this resonates

If your team is getting opportunities but not converting at the level they should…

Let’s look at it together.
